A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

Cut the piece according to the measurements

In order to get your minimalist watch, you will need to cut a piece of wood that is the same size as the watch you want. You can use a Dremel 4250 to facilitate the cut. With the 561 spiral bit and the 678 accessory, create a clean, direct cut on the wood by making a hole in the center of the circumference we are going to trace. In order to raise the material and protect the surface, it is advisable to lean on two pieces of wood.

Fill in the gaps between the numbers

To make the numbers for our minimalist clock, use a printed template of what you are going to cut, and transfer those numbers to the wood using a tracing sheet. Just place the template over the tracing sheet and trace around the numbers with a pencil. Once you have your four numbers drawn, use a Dremel Moto Saw to cut out the shape. Insert the mechanism into the hole with the help of an electric screwdriver.

Sand the piece until it is smooth

When you have worked the edges, place the SC411 sanding disc between the numbers to round the corners.

4. Decorate as you wish

Put a little varnish on the piece by tapping it with a cloth. Spread it evenly so as not to leave any white gaps. Let it dry for a couple of hours.

Place the minimalist clock’s hands

If you want, you can also place a socket on the back of the clock to help it hang on the wall once the varnish has dried.
